SSC uses a normalization process to adjust for the variation in difficulty levels across different shifts of the exam. This ensures that candidates from all shifts have an equal chance, and marks are normalized accordingly.

Once the final answer key is released, candidates can estimate their scores. However, if a candidate believes there is an error, the initial answer key allows them to challenge answers for a fee of ₹100 per question. Re-evaluation beyond this is not provided.

Candidates who do not meet the cut-off in Tier 1 will not be eligible to proceed to Tier 2. The cut-off varies based on the category and the number of vacancies available.
