NIFT 2025 application form correction window
The correction window will be open from January 10-12, 2025. Using the NIFT 2025 application correction window, the candidate can make corrections to all the particulars in the form, except for the mobile number and email ID.
Note that once the correction window closes, no further modifications to the application form will be allowed.

NIFT 2025 Syllabus for Situation Test
The NIFT 2025 exam is conducted in two stages: the Written Exams and the Situation Test/Personal Interview. The Written Exams consist of the General Ability Test (GAT), mandatory for all programs, assessing skills in Quantitative Ability, English, Analytical and Logical Ability, General Knowledge, and Communication. Additionally, Creative Ability Test (CAT) is required for B.Des and M.Des candidates, evaluating design skills, creativity, and use of color. Shortlisted B.Des candidates must appear for the Situation Test, which assesses their ability to handle materials, create models, and demonstrate innovation and creativity. Identity disclosure is not allowed during any stage of the exam.

NIFT Exam Pattern 2025 – Situation Test
B.Des candidates who qualify the written exam have to next appear in a Situation Test.
Note that PG candidates aren’t required to take the Situation Test; instead, they have to appear in a Personal Interview.
The NIFT 2025 Situation Test will evaluates the “material handling and the innovative ability” of applicants. Here, candidates will be examined in areas like “Space Visualization, Innovative and creative use of given material, the composition of elements, color scheme, construction skill, the finesse of the model and overall presentation, etc.
At the time of the Situation Test, the candidate must submit a write-up explaining the concept/idea explaining the model. The write-up must be in the English language. No marks will be given for write-up in any other language.
NIFT Exam Centers 2025
The updated list of exam cities for NIFT 2025 (written exams) is notified through the information brochure.
The NIFT written exam will be conducted across 82 cities in the country.
The candidate has to select their preferred city when filling out the NIFT 2025 application form.
Note that an exam city can have one or more exam centers.
The name and address of the exam center allocated to the candidate were mentioned on the admit card. You can’t select a specific exam center, as you are only allowed to select the city.

NIFT Admit Card 2025:
The NIFT 2025 admit card will be released in the 3rd week of January 2025 on the NIFT admission portal. You must log in with your application number and date of birth to download the admit card. The admit card contains details like your name, roll number, exam date, time, and venue. Candidates must bring a printed copy of the admit card and a valid photo ID to the exam center. Separate admit cards will be issued for the Situation Test/Personal Interview.
NIFT Answer Key 2025
The National Institute of Fashion Technology will release the draft answer key of NIFT 2025 in February 2025. It will be uploaded on the NIFT NTA admission portal. It will contain the official answers to all the questions asked in the exam.
Note that no answer keys will be released ONLY for the computer-based GAT paper; no keys will be released for the offline-based CAT paper.
Using the the answer key, you can calculate the number of correct attempts, and then the probable score.
Challenges against the draft key will also be allowed; the candidate will have to pay INR 200/ per challenge.
The final answer key of NIFT 2025 will be released after considering the feedback of the candidate.

- Click on the answer key download link
- In the log-in window that opens, enter your Roll Number, Program Name, Question Booklet No., and DOB
- On successful login, you can download the answer key.
NIFT Cut-off 2025
The National Institute of Fashion Technology will release the cut-off marks for NIFT 2025 written tests at the time of the declaration of results.
The cut-off will be category-specific and indicate the minimum marks (or rank) the candidate needs to secure for admission.
The candidate thus needs to log in to the result portal to check their qualifying status. Candidates who qualify in the written exams have to next appear in a Situation Test/ Personal Interview. It may be noted that the qualifying score or cut-off of NIFT 2025 is different from the admission cut-off.
The admission cut-off of NIFT 2025 will be prepared based on the final merit after considering the following points:
- The total number of applicants
- The category-wise seat intake
- The total number of applications
- The category under which admission is sought.
