To secure admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), candidates must first qualify for the JEE Main exam. Only the top scorers from JEE Main can then sit for the JEE Advanced, which is the critical entrance exam for IITs. The eligibility criteria include achieving a minimum score in JEE Main and having completed class 12 with required subjects.

Success in both exams requires a thorough understanding of the syllabus, regular practice, and effective preparation strategies. After clearing JEE Advanced, candidates participate in the JoSAA counseling process to select their preferred IITs and branches based on their ranks.

Strengthen Core Concepts: Build a solid foundation in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics by thoroughly understanding NCERT textbooks first. Move on to advanced reference books.

2. Work on Speed and Accuracy

Develop strategies for improving speed without compromising accuracy. Timing yourself with practice papers is essential.

3. Mock Tests and Analysis

Take mock tests that simulate real JEE Advanced conditions. After each test, review your performance to identify weak areas and focus your studies on those topics.

Focus on areas where you lose marks and analyze incorrect answers to understand your mistakes.

4. Revision and Practice

Systematically revise topics to keep concepts fresh. Create revision notes with key formulas, concepts, and shortcuts.

Solve previous years’ JEE Advanced papers regularly to get familiar with the question patterns and difficulty level. This helps in understanding the nuances of how different concepts are tested together.
