CLAT Counselling Process 2025

The CLAT 2025 counselling process is conducted entirely online, starting with registration and payment of the counselling fee. A merit list is then published based on candidates’ CLAT scores. Seat allotment is carried out in multiple rounds, where candidates are allotted seats based on their preferences, rank, and seat availability. At each stage, candidates can choose to accept their allotted seat, upgrade to a higher preference in subsequent rounds, or exit the process. Once a seat is finalized, candidates must complete the admission formalities, including document verification and payment of the required fees, to secure their spot

How to Register for CLAT 2025 Counselling

  1. Login to your account:
    • Visit the official CLAT website: consortiumofnlus.ac.in
    • Enter your mobile number and password on the homepage.
    • Click on Login and select the Counselling Registration link.
  2. Update NLU Preferences:
    • After logging in, candidates need to select their preferred National Law Universities (NLUs) for UG or PG courses.
    • Update preferences based on knowledge about courses, fees, seats, and other details.
  3. Pay Counselling Fee:
    • Candidates must pay the counselling fee of INR 50,000 online using a credit card, debit card, or internet banking.
    • A confirmation email and SMS will be sent upon successful payment.

  1. Note: The counselling fee is adjusted with the course fee once the seat is allotted. Candidates who do not pay the fee will not be considered for admission.

CLAT 2025 seat allotment will be released in 5 rounds. To check the result:

  1. Visit the official website: consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
  2. Log in with your mobile number and password.
  3. Check the seat allotment result.

There are 3,213 UG seats and 1,217 PG seats. Candidates who qualify CLAT 2025 must complete counseling registration and document verification. In the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd rounds, candidates can choose to freeze or upgrade their seat

After the CLAT 2025 seat allotment:

  1. Accept the Seat: Confirm your seat and freeze it. No further participation required.
  2. Apply for Upgrade: Request a higher-choice NLU and wait for the next allotment.
  3. Exit: Withdraw from counselling if you no longer wish to participate.

Then, upload the required documents and pay the admission fee to finalize the process.
